Welcome to the Georgia Chapter of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association, dedicated to the Georgia sailors, and sailors everywhere, who served aboard these fine ships. Destroyer Escorts, often referred to as "Trim but Deadly", served the United States Navy and the British Royal Navy, in WWII, the Korean War, up to and including the Vietnam War. Their service is indelibly marked in the history of the United States Navy, and has left a legacy by those who walked their decks and lived within their hulls.
