One Sunday evening in 1962 I was sitting on the mess deck with Larry (my brother) and made the following statement, "Boy if it was possible I would ship over today." The next thing I knew the XO was on the mess deck with one of the yeomen and the following morning I was reenlisted and off to home on 30 days leave. Best thing I ever did because that was the beginning of a great navy career for me.
